About the Event
This discounted term pass allows for 9 playgroup sessions, on Thursdays from the 25th July to 19th September.
Facilitated by qualified educators Leigh and Sarah, our playgroup program is specially designed to allow children aged 2 to 5 years (siblings under two are free of charge) to make meaningful connections with their surrounding environment. Each playgroup session is themed individually, and incorporates nature-based activities to support that week's focus. A typical playgroup session might include a story book and songs under the trees, a nature walk, art and craft activities, sensory play, science-based enquiries and open-ended discovery inside the centre and its dedicated early-learning playroom. The playroom contains a variety of books, puzzles, costumes, puppets and other resources for your child to enjoy. Sessions will run for approximately 90 minutes to optimise your child's engagement and energy levels.
Our barista coffee window Twitchers will be open for coffees, babyccinos and tasty treats each playgroup morning.
Please dress for mess! We will be outdoors exploring nature and making nature crafts so we encourage children to wear clothes that can afford to get a little wet, dirty or painted on. Remember to bring a hat, water bottle and covered shoes or gumboots (depending on weather). You can also bring a packed morning tea for a picnic on the lawn.
Important to note: As the centre is set in a wetland area, a parent or carer must be present at all times during the session. Supervision is key to providing your child with a safe and fun learning environment!
