Reconnect with nature in the pristine surrounds of the Herdsman Lake wetlands.

The Herdsman Lake Discovery Centre can offer tailored activities* to suit a range of abilities and interests. More active participants can sift through leaf litter for invertebrates, or take a short guided nature walk along the Olive Seymour Boardwalk.

 

Those wanting a more leisurely experience can enjoy a complimentary tea or instant coffee on the verandah with a bird watching identification guide, pinned insect specimens, and/or watch a digital wildlife presentation. Browse the gift/book shop, purchase a barista-made coffee and treat, learn more about wildlife from native animal exhibits and get a little closer to the animals with a special creature feature (when available).
